I'm convinced that despite everything (and there is SO MUCH everything) the internet left gifts. Especially virtual gifts. Having insurance companies forced to to virtual visits. (My primary care just moved home to Chicago, but is still treating virtually.) But also being able to watch a friend speak in church, or your family member leave or come home from a mission--priceless.
Yes - I agree with you! Virtual visits, readily available home grocery delivery and restaurant delivery, more agile internet/online ordering and shipping/delivery services, meetings via zoom, remote work/work-from-home, all of those are game changers. It has been frustrating to watch as employers try to claw back those expansive and inclusive policies rather than continuing with practices that make life easier for their employees and customers. I hope for continued enlightenment on that score as more people push back.
